This group having a specific niche that being a group promoting leadership,collaboration,connection and co-creation. Members are creative,
open to sharing ideas and offering to brainstorm when one is willing.

In general we are people that live life and stick out necks our for what we believe in! We are progressive thinkers and have a wide variety of interests. Many of us
being activists, bloggers, marketers, entrepreneurs,public speakers, coaches and artists.

TRiiibes members are all over the web and on the ground, standing out as individuals due to the types of activities that we are involved in and as members of this group. People that are well read, eloquent and good conversationalists.

We are out there making a difference, spreading ideas, doing work worth doing.

The allegory of the Truemanitree.

Pop

The sapling burst out of the ground. This is no ordinary plant. It is the "Truemanitree".

This is the seed that has been nourished for over two years.

This is the sum of our hope and desire for a better world.

In an allegory, every part and action and detail of the story has an inner meaning and significance.

Now normally when trees break the soil the world carries on with its normal daily chores.

This is no ordinary sapling. The night before the moon shone brighter. The night birds
were extra active because of the atmosphere that was created by this event. The
wind whispered through the trees.

The animals of the forest were in awe.

They had never experienced such an occurrence as the seed breaking ground. The roots
of the tree are embedded in earth, providing anchorage for what will grow above-ground and absorbing water and nutrients from the soil.

You see the root system for the Truemanitree is particularly well formed and decided to stay
under the ground until it was ready to be of significance to the world.

This seed of an idea was growing in the receptive heart, the one ready to receive -- open and responsive immediately. We knew that this the seed should sprout and grow. We did
not know how. Yet we still had the believe by focusing on the end goal there was something
being formed of the formless substance by patient expectation. An inevitable process begins, one which takes time, patience and unwavering belief.

You see in a world of immediate responses we forget about the cycles of life. If there is not
immediate satisfaction we feel betrayed and lost. Yet in order to have something of value one needs
to let go and let the process have its way.

First, there is the quality of the seed itself -- its inherent capacity for growth.

Grow for us symbolizes and reflects one of the underlying principles of life!
This means that nothing is stagnant that is alive. In order to
live it means that there is motion and change, and that is to grow.
It is reflected in every aspect of Truemanity but most of all in our drive to
provide and environment and tools to aide and support this in ones life.

We see Truemanity as vessel connecting humanity into a strong and influential
community, the connectedness being the lifeblood of the community, thus
allowing the exchange of ideas, sharing of information and the reaching out
to others around the globe. This is the heartbeat of the community.

This is the Truemanitree.

Is flirting fun?

Today is mother’s day. I was thinking how to have a bit of fun and look at the lighter side of this event.

Was being philosophical when the thought struck me…how did I get to be in this position?

Married!

Flirting is a basic instinct, part of human nature. This is not surprising: if we did not initiate contact and express interest in members of the opposite sex, we would not progress to reproduction, and the human species would become extinct.

“When a flirt fishes for a man, she fishes merely for the sport.”

According to some evolutionary psychologists, flirting may even be the foundation of civilization as we know it. They argue that the large human brain – our superior intelligence, complex language, everything that distinguishes us from animals – is the equivalent of the peacock's tail: a courtship device evolved to attract and retain sexual partners. Our achievements in everything from art to rocket science may be merely a side-effect of the essential ability to charm.

Social : Social Networks and the Blind

At the weekend I was at the BNI Conference in Holland. meeting 150 UK and International Directors was tremendous, it showed me that while the mass market of business people want to embrace Social networking and Media it is tough for them. Our mission for 11 years has been to help this journey, and I know many of the amazing members here do the same.

I had the great privilege of sitting with a BNI Director called Steve Evans who is blind. I have met him before at another BNI Conference, a really wonderful man. We had quite a laugh while I described people to him, what they wore and their hair cuts, this information forms an image that he cannot be part of usually, some people he had known for years but did not know what they looked like, not important you might say, and I guess to an extend it isn't, but it is always nice to know what people are like when you talk to them, especially if you talk often.

Steve and I had a really interesting talk about what it is like for him going to a conference. The challenge of PowerPoint based presentations, the kindness of people (some) who describe what is on the slide, the nature of some that help him find the mints on a table, help him to find people, involve him in conversations. I found that intuitively when we first met I held his hand with both hands throughout the conversation as we could not achieve eye contact so I thought that my hand holding his would enable him to know he had my attention. This is unusual I have been told by other blind people, we are all scared to get into personal space.

In my talk at BNI I talked about Social Media- Sharing and Collecting knowledge, and Social Networking-Sharing and Collecting People. I talked about Ecommerce, Social Media Marketing and all business thoughts. However I left everyone knowing that in fact we are part of Humanity Networks - a chance for humans to share, trust and like one another across the globe, the intention of civilization for thousands of years. Trust and transparency is a demanded value online, perhaps in the right networks this can be achieved.

Steve told me he was moved by this and then said he and the millions of other blind people across the world would love to be part of this. Warm, intelligent people who fight isolation anyway and now they are having to fight a new form of isolation, Social Networks do not enable Blind people to be involved.

I am so terribly upset by this, Ecademy is a warm community that I want all independent professionals and business owners to benefit from, the fact that Steve and his peers cannot has kept me awake ever since.

I have committed to Steve that I will now support him and find a way to sort this out, Steve and I will be a team, he will arrange for me to meet those that could help out and I am hopeful that we will find a way. For now I just want to say how sorry and ashamed I am by this.

This is my first step, I will keep you posted, I have no idea of the journey that Steve and I are embarking on.

THIS IS MY VIEWPOINT ON WHAT PENNY WROTE

In life we all have strengths and weaknesses.

Most of us spend a lot of time trying to cover them up. There are many
ingenious ways to do so.

We can be very quite and not reveal our "flaws",or very loud and over
compensate.

Some of us know what our strengths and weakness are, and others
are aware yet have not come to terms with the situation and are in
denial.

There are others that have learned to navigate and work with the best
that they have to offer. ( I hope like myself)

Now let us talk about blind and hearing impaired people. The only difference
between this part of our community and us is that their weakness is
visible to others and harder to hide away.

In life we all need others to balance, uplift and support us. The needs are varied
and are all legitimate...we are only human beings. Being human is the key word.

What does this entail? Digging deep and rekindling our common humanity.
Humility is a kind of inner strength. The ability to give and take.

All of this is a lesson to us...to all of us! Is it not wonderful to share and learn
compassion. This is a strengthening factor in all of us.

The other point that really got to me was how Penny describe her conversation with
Steve took place.

Penny is perceptive, knows that people need to connect. It is great that she felt
the need to take his hands in hers. Many are often intimidated to let others invade their
personal space.

With old people I often find myself having the need to reach out and touch or hug.
It is welcomed ...most often ...sometimes bringing tears to our eyes.

Why should people that are physically impaired, be conceived to have different needs
than the rest of us?

Why should they be a community, that it is perceived, that it is okay to sideline...let live
on the periphery of our lives. Why do we not keep them close to our bosom and nurture
them?

Social Systems

When it comes to talking about which social system has achieved its goals and served the people in the way it was supposed to I personally cannot find one successful system.

Communism failed. Capitalism is having a major breakdown. That leaves Socialism.

In the Scandinavian countries this seems to be the most successful model. Maybe even worth emulating.

This is something that is worth investigating. Seeing if there are some parts that we can add into our lives and the way we think in order to shift Paradigms.
